Now that's a wrap . . . . 

Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed a great day out at our Show . . . . so much to see and do.  There have been some wonderful comments and messages received.  Here's a few . . . .  

​Put the Noorat Show on Your Bucket List!

If you can’t make it to the Melbourne Show, make sure the Noorat Show is next on your bucket list. Set in the charming rural town of Noorat, 40 minutes from Warrnambool in South-West Victoria, this year’s event proved that regional shows do deliver just as much, arguably even more, excitement, entertainment and family value than their bigger city counterparts.
What was genuinely surprising was the scale of the show, the variety of attractions and the reasonable entry cost for families. From the moment we walked through the gates, it was clear that this wasn’t just a small country event, it was a full day of discovery, energy and community spirit.
This year’s show was incredibly well-attended, with the Noorat Recreation Reserve buzzing, it was a day packed with activities and something for everyone. Everywhere you looked, there was something happening, from traditional rural competitions to modern family-friendly entertainment.
Some of our favourite highlights included:

• Woodchopping demonstrations, that had crowds watching on as competitors sliced through massive logs with speed and skill.

• Sheepdog trials, showcasing the incredible talent and connection between handler and dog.

• Rows of cows, goats, chooks, ducks and sheep, immaculately groomed and proudly shown by local breeders.

• A fantastic petting farm, which is always a hit with the little ones.

• The kids’ bike track, face painting, Mik Maks and endless children’s activities.

• The welcoming Parents and Kids Hub, complete with change tables, breastfeeding space, sandpits, colouring-in and puzzles.

• A huge variety of rides, food, beverage and craft stalls offering everything from handmade goods to showbags.

• A display of beautiful classic and vintage vehicles.

What stood out most was the sense of community pride and the hard work that clearly goes on behind the scenes. A show of this scale doesn’t happen without the dedication of many volunteers, local organisations and community groups. Congratulations to all involved, your efforts have created a memorable and joyful event that the community can be proud of.
We’ll be back. The Noorat Show is one of our highlights for the year and we’re already looking forward to returning in future years. Whether you’re a local, a visitor or a family looking for a great day out, this rural show is absolutely worth the trip.
